Is Loacker Italian, Austrian, or German?
Italian — but the nuance is real. Loacker is based in South Tyrol, a mountainous region that was Austrian until 1919 and is still predominantly German-speaking today. So it's an Italian company with deep Alpine, German-language roots, which is why the branding feels more "Alpine" than "Mediterranean."
What is Loacker Napolitaner?
Napolitaner is the original Loacker wafer — the roasted-hazelnut recipe the brand was founded on. It's still the reference point for the whole range: five thin wafer layers around four of hazelnut cream.
What's the difference between Quadratini and the Classic wafer?
Format, mostly. Quadratini are small cubes built for one-handed snacking, with lots of thin layers and a high cream-to-wafer ratio. The Classic is the traditional long wafer bar you break into fingers. Same style of filling — different shape and eating occasion.
Do Loacker wafers contain nuts, and are they gluten-free?
