Davia grew up in Germany, where she learned how to bake with her grandmother and was taught how to cook by her parents. When she moved to New Jersey and started a family of her own, those recipes came with her.
Davia launched her bakery stand, which quickly gained success—so much so that she was hired as a baking instructor and now teaches monthly classes, primarily focusing on traditional German baking in a real classroom setting.
Her desire for her baking classes is to teach others how to make recipes that may seem intimidating at first, help people fall in love with German baking, emphasize the importance of quality ingredients and why they matter, and build a community around food and culture.
Now she has partnered with One Stop German Shop to open that classroom to anyone who wants to bake like a German, wherever they happen to live. When you watch one of her masterclasses, you are not looking at a studio set; you are sitting in on a real in-person class she teaches.
