These delicious Cinnamon Stars come from Nuremberg, Germany where they have been made since the 16th Century. Historically, Monks refined gingerbread recipes with abundant amounts of nuts and added cinnamon for unique flavor, which was expensive at the time. So, these cookies were normally only found on the tables of noblemen. Today, however, these wonderful treats are made according to the same tradition with 40% nuts, but are accessible to everyone.
