German Bockwurst – Pack of 7

Bockwurst is a mild, finely ground German sausage that is traditionally heated in hot water and eaten with mustard. Its name goes back to bock beer: the story most often told is that it was first served with a fresh bock in Berlin in 1889, and the pairing has stuck ever since.

What is in our Bockwurst

This is the pale, herb-flecked style of Bockwurst: finely ground pork with a little beef, seasoned with celery, leeks, onion, chives and parsley, and bound with whole egg. It is uncured (no added nitrite) and fully cooked, so it only needs gentle reheating.

How to heat Bockwurst

Bring water to a simmer, take it off the boil, and let the links steep for 5 to 7 minutes until heated through. Boiling splits the casing. You can also brown them briefly in a pan after poaching.

Where does it ship from? All fresh sausages and meats ship from our own warehouse in Little Ferry, New Jersey.

How is it packed? Every order goes out in an insulated box with frozen gel packs. Cold packaging is always free – no packaging or handling fee.

How fast is it? 2-day express via UPS or FedEx, depending on your address. Many East Coast addresses receive their order in 1–2 days.

When does it ship? Monday to Wednesday (Thursdays for addresses close to New Jersey), so your package never sits in a depot over the weekend. Orders placed later in the week ship at the start of the next week.

When it arrives: Please bring the package inside promptly and refrigerate or freeze the sausages right away. If it arrives warm or damaged, email a photo to help@onestopgermanshop.com within 24 hours and we'll make it right.
